As summer is winding down, we are rejoicing at what the Lord has done through the mission trips. One of my favorite things that we do in the summer is stand in ports of Europe to hand out New Testaments and Jesus Films to people coming for vacation to escape the heat.

Here’s a story that happened last month in London:
“Our teams have been connecting with Middle Easterners every day. Their culture is very hospitable. That’s why we weren’t surprised when these women invited Jane (name changed for protection) over for a meal.” After the meal, Jane was able to share a short film with the women and their family. The story continues: “After watching the film, one of the Kuwaiti women said, ‘God has brought you to us today.’ This opened the door to talk more directly about the gospel and their spiritual views.“They spent 4 hours together. Praise God for this friendship to have started. Jane plans to stay connected to these women and continue to reach out to them, while we are here and beyond.

“Please pray for them to hear God’s voice calling them, for them to have the desire to read the bible and for them to receive and follow Christ. We know that with the Muslim world it can be a long road to salvation, but we know God has called us to reach all nati

ons (even the tough ones) and we are encouraged that God is patient and in control.
‘The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9’”

There were four trip leaders taking different teams of people to London over an eight week period this summer. Hundreds of people engaged in conversations with our teams, with dozens accepting His gift of salvation! Please pray for these new believers as they take His good news back to their home countries and face possible opposition or even persecution. Pray they will not lose heart, and that they will find their joy and peace in Christ.
