Thank you SO much for praying for Eric’s trip to India! He had an incredible time, despite it being so brief. Amazingly they were able to do quite a bit of ministry in a short day and a half!

After dropping off the equipment (safely and without having to pay extra fees, praise the Lord!), they spent their time with a couple in the area who had planted seven churches using the Jesus Film.

Their churches were all made up of “Hindu Christians” – Hindus who had professed belief in Christ, but likely added Him to their list of gods to worship since Hindus believe in literally millions of gods so they don’t have a problem adding Jesus to their list. The pastor leading the churches is not educated as a pastor. He’s doing the best he can going from church to church each week, giving them truth from the Bible to a congregation who can’t read. Many of them are from the lowest caste in India and make their meager living digging up worms and selling them to fishermen.

Eric along with the other three from Jesus Film went with the pastor to visit each church. They shared messages of hope and showed the Jesus Film. One of the Bible stories that Eric shared was the story of Jesus calming the storm. He explained that the reason Jesus was able to calm the storm is because He IS God, He IS the Creator and is the ONLY one worthy of all worship and praise.

The trip was such a meaningful experience to Eric. India is the country he started with for producing follow up films—Following Jesus India. It has always had a special place in his heart. The need for follow up there is still great. Please pray along with us that Hindus all over India will have their eyes open to the truth—there is ONE God, who relentlessly pursues us. And please pray for this couple trying to make a difference and reach their people. Praise God the visit will help build credibility for him, but he needs help to continue to impact this area. Pray He will open doors for them.
